World of WarTanks
ℹ️ About this game
Tank combat in a top-down arena is the quickest way to describe this one. You drive a heavy machine around maps that offer some cover in the form of buildings and low hills. The match starts with several tanks on each side, and your job is to hit enemy tanks before they hit you. Shells have a travel time, so you have to lead your shots a little. There is a reload cooldown between each round, which forces you to pick moments carefully rather than just holding the fire button. Missions are what tie everything together. Each battle asks you to accomplish a couple of goals, like spotting an enemy or landing a penetrating hit. Completing those earns stars, and stars go toward tank upgrades. That extra progression layer is the main hook. It gives you a reason to redo a battle even after you win. The movement feels heavier than it would in a normal shooter, but that weight is part of the appeal. You have to commit to a position and trust your aim. It suits players who want something slower than a twitch shooter but still tactical. Team warfare and a survival mode change the pace, though the core loop stays the same. There's enough variety in the upgrade path to keep you fiddling with your loadout between fights.
🎯 How to play
Move with WASD. Aim the turret with your mouse and fire with the left button. Wait for the reload to finish before you take another shot. Complete the mission objectives shown on screen to earn stars. Use those stars to unlock upgrades after each battle. Your goal is to destroy enemy tanks while staying alive and hitting the mission targets.
💡 Tips
Aim at the rear or sides of an enemy, not the front, because the armor is thinner there. Read the distance and give a little lead before you shoot, especially when the target is moving. If a shot ricochets, change position rather than firing at the same spot again. And keep moving after you shoot, or other tanks will zero in on you.
