Wear the Helmet
ℹ️ About this game
A scooter rider zips down a straight road and you decide when to hop over things. It's an endless runner with simple controls where you jump, and maybe double-jump if you're wearing the helmet. The twist is at the start you can pick up a helmet or leave it. With it, your jumps get a weird bounce and you can clear narrower gaps more easily. Without it, you control the rider more tightly but any hit ends your run. The road throws barricades, potholes, and open manholes at you in random-feeling sequences, so you're mostly reacting on short notice. The art is basic, but the physics feel decent and the speed increases over time, which creates panic. What keeps it interesting is that the helmet choice changes the rhythm. You'll develop habits with one option, then switch and suddenly your timing is off. That's a neat way to get extra replay from a small idea. It's not a deep game, but it does one thing and does it okay. Good for short bursts when you want something immediate and low commitment. Just don't expect variety beyond the road and the score counter.
🎯 How to play
Use the spacebar to jump and the down arrow to duck or land faster. Your goal is to ride as far as possible without crashing. Hit an obstacle and the run is over. When you see a helmet at the start, decide whether to pick it up or skip it. With it, you get an extra bounce on landing. Without it, you're more precise. Sewer grates and barriers appear suddenly.
💡 Tips
Try a few runs without the helmet first. The bounce can actually throw you into low-hanging signs. Jump a little early for barricades. Your landing matters more than your takeoff. If a sewer hole is directly after a barricade, do one short hop rather than a full jump, then immediately jump again.
