It's a flying car racer, which sounds sillier than it plays. You'll get plenty of airtime in Ultimate Flying Car, but the ground sections are just as important. Races start on regular roads, with tight corners and traffic to dodge, then the surface drops away and you're guiding your car through the sky, trying to line up with the next ramp or platform. Speed feels good. The cars are floatier than normal racing games, so you'll be making small corrections constantly. Boosts refill as you hit checkpoints or pull off near misses, which encourages you to stay close to obstacles instead of playing it safe. Multiplayer lets you go head-to-head with friends, but the single-player tracks are decent enough to practice on. There's a stunt system too, but honestly it's more about finishing ahead than looking cool. The urban settings are pretty dense, with towers and billboards and bridges, so you're always reacting to something new. It's not a simulation by any means. It's arcade racing with a gimmick that works. Best suited for people who liked those old anti-gravity racers but want something a bit more grounded. The learning curve is gentle, though later races do throw a lot of obstacles at you. Nothing revolutionary, but it's a good time if you're in the mood for fast, loose racing.
