HOOPS the Game
ℹ️ About this game
Each run is basically you moving along a line of backboards, trying to land the ball through the ring as cleanly as possible. The hoops aren't evenly spaced or the same height, so you have to keep adjusting your position and wait for the right instant to let go. If the shot hits the rim and rattles in, it still counts, but a swish gives you a bonus. That difference matters a lot on the scoreboard.
Coins show up on the court, or sometimes floating near a rim, and grabbing them adds to a separate currency. You can spend that on different ball skins and maybe a few visual upgrades. It's a small reward loop, but it gives you a reason to replay the same stretch of hoops even after you've memorized the layout.
What makes it interesting is the push between going for the clean shot and keeping your momentum up. Slow down too much and you lose the rhythm. Rush it and you're shooting from a bad angle. Later sections throw in moving hoops or shorter windows, so the basic action stays simple while the demand on your timing creeps up.
It's not a basketball sim in any realistic sense. It's an arcade score-chaser with a basketball skin. Good for you if you like one-more-run type games.
🎯 How to play
Move left and right to get your ball carrier under the right spot. Let go of the shoot button when the ball lines up with the rim. Aim for a clean center shot to earn bonus points and keep your run going. Grab coins when they're easy, but don't let them force a bad shot.
💡 Tips
The swish bonus is worth more than a single coin, so don't sell your shot position for a pickup. When a hoop is moving, release a little earlier than you think. If you wait for the center, the ball often arrives late. Also, learn the coin patterns early. They're placed to test your pathing, not just reward you.
