Defend the Castle
ℹ️ About this game
This game puts you in charge of a small castle and a King who absolutely does not want to get himself captured. Each stage starts with a set amount of gold and wood, and you have to place defensive units on the wall or along the approach before the first enemy wave shows up. The two main options are archers, which are cheap and fire quickly, and cannons, which cost more but hit hard. Between waves you collect gold and wood from kills and use it to repair, build, or upgrade. The enemies come in different shapes. Some are fast, some are armored, and a few will try to bash down the gate directly. That mix forces you to keep changing your setup instead of just stacking the same tower over and over. The interesting part is the economy. You never have quite enough to do everything, so you need to decide whether to save for a cannon or spam cheap archers. It's a familiar loop, but the difficulty curve feels fair. Later levels add more pathing choices and tougher enemies. It suits people who like resource management and positioning rather than twitch reflexes. If you've played any lane-defense game, you'll know what to expect. That's not a complaint, it's just a solid version of that formula.
🎯 How to play
Start by placing archers near the front of the path to slow enemies down. Use cannons on tougher, slower targets. Upgrade a tower when you have spare gold, but don't neglect repairs. Stop the enemy before it reaches the gate, or the King will be captured.
💡 Tips
Save some gold for mid-wave upgrades, because a quick bump to a tower can turn a lost fight around. Put fast-shooting archers further back so they stay in range longer, and use cannons near the gate where enemies bunch up. If you lose, notice which spot failed and move that tower one tile over.
