1941 Frozen Front
ℹ️ About this game
This turn-based strategy game drops you straight into the freezing mud of the Eastern Front. You get to manage a mix of infantry, tanks, and artillery across a hex-based grid. Every single action costs supply points, meaning you cannot just rush your heavy armor forward without thinking about fuel and ammo. A typical turn involves moving your scout troops to clear the fog of war, setting up artillery positions, and then sending in the tanks to clean up. The winter setting actually affects how you play, since moving through deep snow slows your units down significantly. It feels like a simplified, hex-grid version of classic tabletop wargames. Combat is a careful calculation of terrain bonuses and unit matchups, where attacking dug-in infantry with light tanks usually ends in disaster. It is a slow, methodical experience that rewards patience rather than quick reflexes. Anyone who likes military history or enjoys planning out moves three steps in advance will find plenty to chew on here.
🎯 How to play
Click on a unit to select it and then click on a highlighted hex tile to move or attack. Watch your supply bars at the top of the screen closely. Construct supply depots to replenish your troops. Eliminate all enemy forces on the map to complete each mission successfully.
💡 Tips
Always keep your infantry units inside forests or trenches to get a defensive cover bonus. If you leave them out in the open snow, enemy tanks will shred them instantly. Also, construct supply depots near the front lines so your units do not run out of ammo mid-turn.
